exceptional c. 1930's american depression era worn and weathered hand-painted exterior roadside "eat" diner sign comprised largely of tin, with surrounding mitered joint wood frame. the crudely crafted sign features very unique and unusual enormous lettering finished in metallic silver with a yellow outline. the original forest green background shows considerable wear. the artist or sign maker's signature, in the form of thin yellow lettering, is found mostly intact in the bottom right corner. originates from southern michigan. measures 54 1/2 x 30 1/2 inches.
