exceptionally well-built 19th century american interior chicago mansion tilting leaded art glass skylight attributed to the wells glass co., chicago, il. the multi-pane pivoting skylight window is comprised of solid mahogany wood with original varnished finish partially intact. the centrally located panel contains a clear plate glass pane. the surrounding panels are comprised of "florentine" patterned glass, along with rippled texture solid color cathedral glass. very clean and simple geometric designs. the original cast iron mounting brackets remain intact. the skylight was salvaged from a chicago mansion constructed around 1883. measures 44 x 33 inches.
