highly desirable all original early electric american hinged "no. 5" faries bracket lamp made specifically for more commercial and/or industrial settings. the rather unadorned and utilitarian wall-mount sectional cast iron bracket supports a greatly extended and angular malleable iron arm that pivots horizontally. the tubular yellow brass arm with swivel joint is original to the fixture. the perkins incandescent paddle socket has been rewired with period appropriate braided cloth lamp cord (not shown). the patented ventilated brass shade fitter retains the original set screws. the top section of the main bracket contains a solid upright post with a spacious hole for feeding electrical cord through. the faries bracket lamp has been thoroughly cleaned and refinished. designed and fabricated by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il.
