largely intact c. 1920's original american medical single-sided white opalescent glass "x-ray" directional sign salvaged from the radiology department once housed within the old "main" michael reese hospital building (demolished in 2011). the long rectangular-shaped informational sign contains hand-painted black lettering flanked by directional arrows. the sign was likely fabricated in-house (the basement did contain a sign department). the original steel hangers and chain are intact. the delicate panel is free from breaks or cracks. surface wear evident. measures approximately 24 x 6 inches.
