finely crafted 19th century american victorian era exterior residential ornamented wrought iron window guard attributed to the w. s. tyler co., cleveland, oh. the exceptionally well-designed window guard was salvaged from a cincinnati mansion demolished in the 1960's. the fanciful grillework contains a multitude of fishtail-end scrolls surrounding a centrally located ring containing a diamond flanked by c-scrolls. very impressive workmanship. old black paint finish with sporadic crazing. measures 40 1/2 x 34 inches.
