exceptionally rare all original early 20th century double-sided antique american industrial folk art hand-painted safety or cautionary interior chicago factory and/or foundry works sign comprised entirely of wood. the one of kind antique factory sign hung near a massive gantry crane designed to lift extreme loads by a hoist, fitted in a trolley moving horizontally on a rail or pair of rails fitted under a large beam. the weathered sign exhibits a unique patina in the form of uniform wear, fading, and allover crazing. the original eye hooks and double-sided finish are intact. the sign hung vertically in an unobstructed fashion.
