oversized early 20th century original american interior residential vestibule varnished oak wood door likely fabricated by the morgan sash & door co., chicago, il. the towering door retains the original heavy plate glass arch top inset or pane with a highly textured "glue chip" surface finish. the exterior side of the door contains a protruding crown or molding piece with a repeating egg & dart pattern. the original varnished finish, darkened considerably over time, remains intact and in good overall condition. the thick plate glass pane - likely fabricated by the pittsburgh glass company - is free from breaks or cracks. the vestibule door was salvaged from a chicago area graystone undergoing demolition. measures approximately 34 x 2 x 94 inches.
