original c. 1940's vintage american industrial machine shop portable lamp guard salvaged from a chicago factory. likely fabricated by the mcgill manufacturing co., valprasio, ind. the handle is comprised of hardened black rubber with lightly embossed rings for added grip. the push button socket has been rewired with period appropriate braided black cloth lamp cord. the drop light contains two flanking plug receptacles located directly below the socket. the refinished steel cage or bulb guard features a unique expandable bottom and reflector. makes for an idea pendant light.
