single american industrial c. 1940's reinforced folded and pressed cold-rolled steel factory workbench hopper box or nesting bin designed and patented in 1930 by thomas shaw of woonsocket, rhode island. the welded and riveted joint multipurpose brushed metal "stackbin" allows for easy access to small parts and fasteners with a smooth interior and full-flow hopper front. the steel bin can be inter-stacked and is designed to support any weight that can fit within the cube of the container. the single unit section was manufactured by the stackbin corp., pawtucket, ri. large quantity available. priced individually. salvaged from west side chicago sheet steel fabrication facility.
