one of four matching original and intact c. 1895-1905 antique american ornamental cast bronze door pulls designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the highly desirable solid bronze metal flush mount back plate with curvaceous scroll-shaped handle was salvaged from one of many entrance doors belonging to a downtown cleveland building (non-extant). the door "push" plates, fashioned in the same pattern, are available as well, with a total of four matching handles. the push plates are nearly as oxidized as the exterior handles caused by less exposure to the elements. this listing is for one pull plate. the top and bottom contains a perforated design with opposed screw holes located in the corners. the nicely aged and darkened surface patina has not been cleaned.measures 11 1/2 x 3 x 2 1/4 inches.
