c. 1920's original and intact american industrial cold-rolled steel cylindrical-shaped factory office paper waste can attributed to the f. h. lawson co., cincinnati, oh. the tall and slender trash can contains a brushed metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the original wood "faux" grain finish was in poor shape. the top (outer rim) and base are adorned with unusual button rivets found along an overlapping metal strap. the vintage trash can remains in great condition, considering age. lawson was a major fabricator of metal accessories or components for ford automobiles during the early 20th century. measures approximately 22 inches tall with a 9 inch diameter.
