recently acquired thoroughly cleaned and refinished late 1940's american vintage industrial mobile compartmentalized two-drawer "tool stand" supply cart designed and fabricated by lyon metal products inc., aurora, il. the heavily reinforced thick gauge pressed and folded steel cabinet contains a mostly uniform brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat sealant to prevent surface corrosion. the reversible undershelf below provides added support and stability. the angled steel legs are structurally sound. the "lyon" cabinet was salvaged from a chicago factory. a similar cabinet with original weathered orange paint finish was removed from the same factory. measures 18 x 24 x 34 1/2 inches.
