original c. 1920's freestanding cast iron interior salvaged chicago factory building newel posts with tightly affixed pyramidal-shaped caps. the exact fabricator is not known. the distressed green painted newel posts were used in one of two stairwells within the factory complex built in the 1920's. the square-shaped bases are free from breaks or cracks. great overall condition, considering age. priced for pair.
