two very well maintained and completely intact c. 1870's high victorian era antique american ornamental cast bronze keyplates or escutcheons designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the original swinging keyhole covers with very crisp and intricately detailed floral designs are intact with brass rivets or pins used to attach them against the flush mount backplates. the original baked black enameled inlay used to accentuate the casting detail remains in great condition, considering age. priced for the pair.
