two 19th century antique american ornamental cast brass "brocade" pattern exterior residential door backplates containing two keyholes. the finely turned and tapered collars or "thimblex" remain tightly affixed to the backplates. manufactured around 1885 by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. nicely aged surface patina. salvaged from a chicago graystone. priced for the pair.
