largely intact early american industrial "solar" brand automobile spotlight fabricated by the c.m. hall lamp company (successors to the badger brass mfg. co.), kenosha, wi. the refinished hall searchlight was originally equipped with a two-wire nitrogen mazda bulb with screw-focusing device. the interior concave reflective mirror was removed or lost long ago. the swivel and trunnion type bracket with universal movement is comprised of both cast bronze and brass. the cylindrical spotlight lamp housing is comprised of heavy gauge steel with copper rivets. the hinges bezel with original clear glass lens remains intact. the searchlight has been refitted with a keyless incandescent lamp socket with braided cloth lamp cord. measures 9 x 8 x 15 inches.
