original vintage american industrial chocolate mold featuring unusual bubble clusters. the confectionery shop tray was salvaged from the old kimball chocolate co. factory. operating for over 85 years, the recently closed kimball factory was located on the far west of chicago. while exploring the basement we came across a number of reinforced nickel and/or chrome-plated steel metal chocolate molds wrapped in newspaper dating to 1934. the molds were manufactured by b.v. vormenfabriek tilburg (located in the netherlands). the company is still in operation today making various molds for the confectionery industry. the mold measures 22 x 9 3/4 inches. limited quantity left.
