hard to find and completely intact privy dug c. late 1880's blue aqua blobtop soda or mineral water bottle fabricated for unknown bottler. the unembossed glass features no maker's mark or indication of bottler. dug from a chicago area demolition site, the bottle is unusual in that its original contents were still completely sealed by the intact rubber gasket and wire bail closure, or lighting stopper. no breakage or cracks. surface wear and haze or discoloration are typical of being dug. crudities like bubbles and whittling are typical of its age and date of manufacture.
