heavily reinforced late 1920's american antique industrial three-tier stationary factory machine shop shelving unit or rack with three-sided rail guards used on each level. the exact fabricator is not known. the industrial furniture piece is original to the metal tool and die shop, founded in 1929. after removing the wood boards we were surprised to discover this remarkable heavy gauge overlapping corrugated steel rod material used for each of the three shelves. the framing of the rack is comprised of welded joint angled steel. the entire storage rack has been painstakingly cleaned, brushed and sanded down to bare metal and treated with a clear coat lacquer. the robust industrial furniture piece has is structurally sound and stable. measures 30 1/2 x 20 5/8 x 36.
