heavy duty all original and intact cat iron machine base salvaged from a chicago factory machine shop that recently closed its doors. the exact fabricator of the pedestal type base is not known. the cast iron base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. a newly added solid maple wood tabletop has been attached to the base. makes for an ideal display stand, etc. the stationary machine base remains in great condition. dates to the 1930's.
