highly compartmentalized c. 1940's american vintage industrial freestanding cold-rolled steel factory lunchroom locker designed and fabricated by the lyon metallic mfg. co., aurora, il. the oversized locker features four equally-sized long and narrow hinged doors with top and bottom louvers (for ventilation purposes). the unique integrated top section or cabinet is divided into four overhead compartments with swing-out louvered doors. the locker's exterior has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the offset sliding door handles are in excellent working condition. incised number plaques original and intact. salvaged from a chicago area garment factory undergoing demolition. measures approximately 30 x 21 x 72 inches. Individual locker compartments measure 6 1/2 x 50 inches and 13 x 8 1/2 inches.
