matching set of late 19th or early 20th century antique american ornamental cast brass monogrammed doorknob and matching oversized largely unornamented backplate designed and fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. the uniquely designed doorknob contains a centrally located "bb" monogrammed design surrounded by concentric circles. the doorknob contains large nubs alternating in placement. several matching doorknobs and backplates available. priced for the matching doorknob and backplate. measures 11 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. knob is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. the doorknob and backplate were salvaged from the baskin brothers jewelry store in new york.
