original early 20th century antique american single-sided "elevator service" exterior new york city trade sign. comprised largely of tin and reinforced with a primitive wood frame (backside). features weathered and worn, bold yellow paint lettering against a mostly black background. the sign is fastened in place with the use of several nails found along the edges. measures 54 x 27 inches.
