late 1940's american vintage industrial refinished adjustable height draftsman stool possibly fabricated by the hamilton mfg. co., two rivers, wisc. the bent four-legged tubular steel stationary stool was salvaged from a prominent downtown chicago architectural firm drafting room. the stool retains the original solid birdseye maple wood circular seat and slightly contoured backrest. the seat is supported by a revolving solid steel threaded spindle. the welded joint heel ring or footrest is structurally sound. the backrest is supported by two bent steel rods affixed to the underside of the seat. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. seat height measures 31 inches.
