exceptional all original and intact brass-plated late 19th century american victorian-era ornamental cast iron fireplace surround and cover designed and fabricated by the dawson brothers, chicago, ills. the heavily ornamented salvaged north side chicago residential fireplace grille features a centrally located perforated and protruding vent bedecked with intricate leafage. the fireplace surround and cover date to the late 1890's. no breaks or cracks.
