two of two fully functional late 1940's vintage american industrial telescoping "adjustrite" pressed and folded steel stationary hospital research laboratory stool with an all-metal backless seat. the single stool features two relatively movable members combined or overlapping for telescopic movement, with one of the members secured to the seat of the stool and other member secured to the legs and/or base of each stool. the coacting movable members function in such a way to lock the seat at various selected positions. the bent tubular steel legs are structurally sound and stable. the lightweight stool retains the original highly desirable mint green baked enameled finish. the bassick swivel casters with chrome plated housings are original and intact. fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. the first incarnation was designed and patented by james a campbell in the early 1940's. two matching stools available. priced individually. the base width measures approximately 16 inches with a seat diameter of 13 inches. fully extended, the seat measures 23 inches high.
