early 1900's original and intact american antique four-legged stationary drafting room hardwood stool designed and fabricated by the eugene dietzgen co., principal factory, chicago. the stool retains the original heel ring or footrest supported by wood brackets. the flared feet are in great condition, considering age. the original black enameled reinforced steel cross-bracing is mounted securely against each of the legs. the revolving birch wood seat is affixed to a solid steel threaded spindle that moves upwards and downwards with ease. mostly uniform surface finish throughout. seat diameter measures 14 1/2 while stools height measures 35 inches.
