original and intact post-fire chicago c. 1870's intact freestanding interior commercial building staircase straight rail section likely fabricated by the palmer, fuller & co., chicago, il. the solid walnut wood railing was located on the second floor once containing physician offices when the building first opened. the complete staircase section contains turned and tapered spindles or "sticks" with a top rail featuring a simple, yet elegant profile. the old red paint was likely added around 1911 when the building underwent several changes. priced for the complete section. multiple sections are available, along with additional spindles, newel posts and other staircase components. measures 50 x 4 x 33 inches
