american vintage industrial single compartment half-section motorcycle "panhead" gas tank with original cap or threaded cover with knurled edge. the fabricator and/or motorcycle manufacturer is not known. possibly fabricated by or for harley davidson. we posses the right compartment that fits snug with the left, but the cap is missing. both compartments or tanks have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the tank is comprised of pressed and folded heavy gauge steel. the vintage american industrial gas tank was found in an old chicago junkyard.
