simple yet elegant late 19th or early 20th century antique american industrial stationary lathe machine side table fabricated in part, by w.c. young & co., worcester, mass. the matching industrial lathe machine shop bases are comprised of cast iron with a brushed metal finish, treated with a clear coat lacquer. the bases exhibit a very clean an sleek design with deeply embossed letter circular plaques identifying the manufacturer. the newly added tabletop consists of solid ash wood with a slightly recessed four-sided apron. a tubular steel stretcher or stringer post was added to provide added support and stability. measures approximately 48 x 15 x 31 inches.
