original and intact c. 1940's chicago public school flush mount "janitor" closet door sign possibly fabricated by the general porcelain enameling & mfg. co., chicago, il. the single-sided die cut steel porcelain enameled sign contains bold green lettering against a white background. the opposed screw holes are outfitted with the original steel grommets. minor surface rust found on the left side of the sign. measures 8 x 2 inches.
