original c. 1950's american industrial chicago public school wood shop class stationary workbench with solid maple wood tabletop. the refinished folded and pressed steel table base contains six matching locker compartments with hinged doors. the original lockable hasps and lightly incised number plaques remain largely intact. the rock hard maple wood top has been refinished and treated with a clear coat protective lacquer. the vintage workbench was fabricated by the brodhead-garrett co., cleveland, oh. measures 64 x 27 1/4 x 33 1/2 inches.
