c. 1940's single-sided vintage city of chicago "slow children" cautionary street sign possibly fabricated by or for the city's department of streets and sanitation. the early street sign is comprised of a heavy gauge die cut steel, with deeply embossed lettering and graphic (depicting a running child). retains the original yellow and black enameled finish. contains two holes for mounting against a signpost. measures 24 x 18 inches.
