original c. 1930's depression era vintage american industrial reinforced octagonal-shaped "universal" motion picture film reel transport case designed and patented by jacob m. goldberg for goldberg bros., inc., denver, co. the hinged carrying case is comprised of pressed and folded galvanized steel with riveted joint liner. the portable case circulated throughout a number of prominent movie theaters within the city of chicago between 1939-65. features a unique latch mechanism with lockable clasp. the two sections can be separated from one another if need be. original solid bent steel rod drop handle. surface wear consistent with age. limited quantity available.
