original late 1870's antique american victorian era ornamental cast bronze interior residential pocket door backplate designed and fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the single pocket door escutcheon contains a deeply recessed center containing a single keyhole opening. mostly uniform patina throughout. measures approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
