original 19th century antique american "brocade" pattern privacy lock salvaged from a c. 1883 chicago la salle street mansion undergoing renovation. the set consists of a diminutive mortise lock with single retractable deadbolt encased in a backed black enameled cast iron mortise lock box. the finger twist or handle with matching backplate are comprised of cast brass. nicely aged surface patina. fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct.
