well-designed 19th century antique american ornamental cast brass interior residential doorknob fabricated by or for either the perkins specialty lock company or the kenton lock company. the aesthetic movement style doorknob contains a largely intact baked black enameled inlay used to accentuate the casting detail. the distinctive decorative design carries over on the the backside of the doorknob. nicely aged surface patina left untouched. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
