original antique american victorian era majolica glazed interior residential fireplace tile designed and fabricated by the trent tile company, trenton, nj. the salvaged chicago figural tile is deeply embossed with costumed male portrait. the richly colored olive-colored glazed tile was salvaged from a chicago two-flat built around 1891. brick and/or mortar have been carefully removed from the back of tile. tile measures 6" h x 6"w x .75"d.
