hard to find early 1920's original vintage american medical hospital operating room side table retaining the original heavy gauge steel cold-rolled steel detachable tabletop. the four-legged tubular steel base retains the original baked white enameled finish. the bottom storage shelf is comprised of bent and folded steel. the tabletop contains a thick white porcelain enameled finish with black porcelain edging. original swivel casters made of hardened black rubber. the spacious two tier utility cart and/or side table was fabricated by the sharp & smith, hospital division, a.s. aloe co., st. louis. measures 48 1/2 x 24 1/2 x 32 1/2 inches.
