original four-legged antique american industrial brushed and sanded stationary hotel room multi-drawer dresser fabricated by the simmons mfg. co., kenosha, wisc. the pressed and folded depression era metal dresser was likely designed by albert witike in the late 1920's or early 1930's. the clean and fully functional compartmentalized dresser contains a total of five drawers, with the topmost "sock" drawer less than half the size of the other matching drawers. the brushed nickel-plated steel drawer pulls are all intact. the brushed and sanded finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the simmons dresser was salvaged from a chicago "single-room occupancy" hotel. only one available. measures 30 1/2 x 19 x 52 inches.
