original 19th century antique american ornamental cast iron exterior diminutive fluted urn newel post cap with flame finial. the refinished cast iron newel cap was designed and fabricated by the heca iron works, brooklyn, ny. the ornamented cap contains two elaborately designed opposed handles that flank the urn. the newel cap has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the outdoor newel post cap was salvaged from a new york city brownstone demolished long ago. three matching newel caps available. priced individually.
