original american made early 20th century ornamental cast brass "chatham" pattern interior residential doorknob designed and fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the deeply embossed doorknob is replete with dense leafage surrounding a centrally located button. mostly uniform surface patina. measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
