original early 20th century lightweight portable handheld "trouble light" salvaged from a chicago tool & die factory. the hangable vintage american industrial single electric lamp guard retains the original weathered and worn solid maple wood handle. the cage or guard is comprised of brazed joint galvanized steel darkened over time. the protruding hook allows the industrial pendant light to be mounted upright in a variety of work settings. the original turn-key socket was fabricated by meteor. fully functional and intact. the factory light was fabricated by the mcgill mfg. co., valparaiso, ind. measures 12 inches long.
