all original antique american made medical supply cabinet designed and fabricated around 1910 by the max wocher & sons co., cincinnati, oh. the heavily reinforced surgical instrument cabinet is comprised largely of cold-rolled furniture sheet steel with a brushed metal finish. the cabinet rests on a four-legged, cabriole style cast iron base with tension rod cross-bracing. the long and narrow cabinet doors retain the original beveled edge glass panes secured tightly in place. the three rolled rim plate glass shelves are original to the cabinet. the right-sided door contains a brass cylinder lock with faceted glass knob pulls. the swivel casters are comprised of steel forks with solid hardwood caster wheels. the removable top is made of solid cast iron with original white porcelain enameled finish. exceptional early 20th century medical furniture piece. measures 30 x 18 x 50 inches.
