original manually-operated early 20th century automobile rear door likely salvaged from a ford model t or a scrapped long ago. the door exterior is comprised of cold-rolled sheet steel with a brushed and sanded surface finish. the glass for the window opening was lost long ago. the three folding hinges and door handle are original and intact. the car door panel or interior side is comprised of both steel and wood. likely fabricated by the ford motor company, detroit, mich. measures 24 x 2 1/2 x 47 inches.
