original early 1920's american industrial four-legged chicago area butcher shop workbench or table possibly fabricated by barnard gloekler & co., pittsburgh. the lightly varnished birch wood tabletop was added at a later point in time. the rigid base is comprised of tubular galvanized steel with intact pipe fittings or connectors. the unique oversized ball feet are tightly affixed to each of the legs. nicely distressed red paint finish. measures 48 x 24 x 35 inches.
