fully functional c. 1930's american machine age "edge glow" illuminated interior theater auditorium exit informational sign designed and fabricated by the voight company, philadelphia, pa. the singled-sided wall-mount sign contains a single thick clear glass panel with angled edges and deeply incised lettering. the c. 1930's art deco style edge-lit sign is equipped with metal housing that contains two standard sockets for use with incandescent light bulbs. when lit, the informational sign emits a warm glow against the etched glass panel with cherry red enameled inlay. the socket housing does contain an octangonal-shaped backplate that can be removed it one desires the exit sign to be hung from the ceiling. great overall condition. measures 14 5/8 x 5 1/4 x 12 inches.
