all original depression era interior theater auditorium single electric flood light designed and fabricated by the major equipment co., 4603 fullerton ave., chicago, il. the 300 watt industrial fixture is comprised largely of spun aluminum with original convex-shaped textured glass lens intact. the socket housing retains the original porcelain mogul screw base socket with optional reducer for use with standard incandescent light bulbs. the ball and socket joint allows the light to be tilted to desired angle. original x-shaped mounting bracket intact. nicely aged surface patina. the threaded bezel twists off for easy access to the socket. measures 12 inches light diameter x 13 1/2 w x 16 inches h.
