unusual c. 1930's american industrial lightweight pressed and folded steel four-legged steel stationary stool designed and fabricated by the chicago wire chair company, chicago, il. the contoured round top backrest pivots downward against the front of the stool if a backless stool is desired. the angled stretchers provide addition support and stability. a nicely worn and early old paint finish was lightly cleaned, but left largely untouched. the circular-shaped seat with a slightly raised edge is free from damage. salvaged from an old chicago area sign-making shop or studio. measures 12 1/2 diameter, 30 inches in height
