original late 1930's refinished american antique industrial four-legged stationary machine shop foreman's stool designed and fabricated by the royal metal manufacturing co., chicago, il. the stool contains an angled steel riveted joint based with a four-sided stretcher configuration for added support and stability. the brushed and sanded bare metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat finish. the original solid maple wood seat has been sanded and sealed. seat has a diameter of 13 1/2 inches and a height of 26 inches.
